Dra. Victoria Espinosa graduated from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, where she earned her degree on Biochemistry in 1994. In 2001, she finished her doctorate in biochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the Universidad de Chile. At the present, she is a full-time professor at the Medical School and Vice-dean of Research and Development of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Universidad de Santiago. She is also a founding partner of the Biomedical and Applied Research Centre program of the Medical School (CIBAP for its acronym in Spanish), where she develops a line of research in the search for anti-inflammatory drugs from natural sources. She has been PI or co-researcher for 10 national and international research projects and published 15 research papers, and worked in the last 17 years as a professor of the biostatistics, research methodology and basic sciences applied in the health field in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
