UNICEF’s 2021 State of the World’s Children Report focused on Adolescent Mental Health. As part of that report the Global Early Adolescent Study was asked to coordinate the development, implementation, and analyses of focus groups with younger and older adolescents. Specifically, each of 13 countries held between 4 and 10 focus group discussions with both boys and girls exploring both factors associated with emotional distress as well as positive mental health. Countries include: Chile, Jamaica, United States, Indonesia, China, Jordan, Egypt, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, DR Congo, Malawi, Kenya.
