Why did you decide to join the GEAS Global Youth Advisory Board?
I want to explore myself with a new role. The role being an interviewer and researcher. GEAS provides an opportunity for me to do it, with a topic I am interested in - gender.
Which issue or topics are you interested in (e.g. mental health, youth employment, ending gender-based violence, climate change, etc)?
All the problems associated with gender among students, such as gender norms, bullying by gender stereotypes, especially LGBT+ students' mental health. There is not any course teaching us how to live with an LGBT+ thoughts in China. Formal LGBT+ students associations have been cancelled these days. But almost every class have LGBT+ students. They will have many many questions when they are growing up. They need our help.
What kind of job would you like to do later in life?
I am not really sure about it. But it will be a job about Computer Science, which I am major in.
Who inspires you and why?
Umm...... Actually I am not good nowadays and don't feel inspired. But my classmates in high school had inspired me before. They had such warm hearts and they would always stand there, listen to me, help me with my confusion. I don't have a warm family so some of my friends brought me a feeling like home, which truly inspired me a lot.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Werewolf games, computer games like League of Legends.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Maybe a bird… I love the feeling of flying and explore the world freely.
