Several studies point to the importance of investing in early childhood – the experiences and learnings that take place during this critical period of a human’s life largely determine future development. In recent years, countries in the region have devoted more efforts and resources to expand coverage and strengthen the quality of services serving families and children under the age of five.

Effective early childhood development policies require coordinated actions across sectors and the alignment of public resources with strategic priorities and programs. This webinar will consider the recent experience of Peru developing and implementing a government-wide results-based budget for early childhood development.
