Sam Beckwith, PhD student

 

Sam Beckwith is a Research Assistant for the GEAS.

He is an adolescent health researcher with a focus on gender norms, sexual health promotion, and reducing disparities in well-being. Prior to joining the GEAS, Sam worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the non-profit research organization Child Trends. There, he helped develop the El Camino sexual health promotion program, managed a database measuring equity in opportunity across the United States, and investigated how positive youth development can be applied to workforce settings. Sam holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and is currently working towards a PhD in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
